An Oasis of Hope, expecting Miracles...

"Getting adequate childcare is one of the greatest difficulties facing working families today. In many cases, parents who can find a job, can not take it because of the high cost of child care."

Alfreda Houston, Director Emeritus

St. Vincent's House provides quality day care and early childhood education to children two (2) - five (5) years of age from families of low to moderate income at a low affordable cost.

St. Vincent's House Day Care/Pre-School offers subsidized program opportunities through a sliding scale income qualifier application.

St. Vincent's House Day Care/Pre-School is located in the heart of the neighborhood in which our families & clients live. Convenient, community access is another important benefit that makes the program so vital. The hours of operation are 6:30 am- 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Our program fosters a nurturing environment to help each child develop and model :

  • A curiosity for learning
  • His/her creative potential and abilities
  • A healthy concept of him/herself
  • Confidence and self-reliance
  • Appropriate emotional and social behavior
  • A cultural, environmental and spiritual awareness
Currently, we accommodate 81 children with plans to expand our capacity to 100 spaces in the future.
