For the past 50 years, St. Vincent's House has provided stop-gaps to
help stabilize crisis situations. St. Vincent's House attempts to
provide small grants and/or access to financial resources for families
and individuals in crisis situations, such as pending eviction, utility
cutoffs or other disruptive situations.
Working in conjunction with a network of social service, health and other charitable agencies in the greater Galveston community, St. Vincent’s House provides appropriate referral information and facilitates contacts with those agencies which can offer clients the services which they are in need of.Our goal is to help each client navigate and negotiate the overwhelming
network of social services and the health care delivery system.
St. Vincent's House is always in need of Hope Angels who would consider
being available to provide additional monetary assistance anonymously to
those clients in dire need whom we were unable to help.
Please contact
our executive director,
Michael Jackson, if you, your organization or
church group would like to participate as Hope Angels. |
